ReInvest Toledo formed in 2015 as a partnership with the Lucas County Land Bank and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC).

Reinvest Toledo exists to be a community connector that impacts residents in low and moderate-income communities in the City of Toledo. We perform our work in three distinct areas: Advocacy, Education, and Operating as a Community Connector.

ReInvest Toledo is an evolving coalition of neighborhood groups and institutional partners that are working to strengthen existing neighborhood organizations and link them to the necessary partners to cultivate change in low and moderate-income Toledo communities.

ReInvest Toledo was formed in 2015 as a partnership with the Lucas County Land Bank and the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). NCRC advocates at the national level for banks to properly direct their reinvestment dollars into challenged communities via the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977.

Reinvest Toledo serves as a catalyst for neighborhood organizing, led by residents. We advocate for neighborhood investment from banks and community developers and provide a forum for neighborhood leadership to meet, plan, and strategize.

RT is only successful when the communities we partner with are successful. How does that happen? RT connects with a neighborhood group, the members learn their neighborhood story, identify assets and challenges within their community, and ACT. Our work is grassroots at its core, and we know that true change cannot happen without the input of community residents from the onset of the planning and implementation process.

Local-level reinvestment coalitions like RT, work with neighborhood leadership to help inform the national-level work by building capacity (strength in numbers) across LMI communities. ReInvest Toledo is a fully realized reinvestment coalition, and we cannot do this without the help of you! We invite you to join our efforts in truly driving change in Toledo communities.
